The Dean has shared a proposed wishlist outlining the key initiatives for the 2000 Batch 25th Reunion. These include:

  • Food Court Development

How will donors be informed about fund usage?

Timely updates will be emailed to the batch-nominated representative(s). A detailed completion report is shared at project close.

How is a batch’s legacy recognized for its donation?

Infrastructure (labs/hostels/physical assets): A name plaque for the batch/individual is displayed on the facility.
Scholarships / student or staff welfare funds: The initiative is named after the contributing batch.

If multiple batches contribute, how is legacy managed?

A joint MoU records contributions and partnership. Recognition follows the same model—plaques for infrastructure and naming of scholarships/funds—acknowledging all contributing batches.

Who coordinates projects and shares updates?

Project Executive Mr. Ashir Daniel provides periodic progress reports. The RECAL Manager shares fund status and the final completion report.

How do we know how much has been deposited, and how often is it communicated?

Weekly, RECAL sends batch-wise and project-wise donation summaries to batch representatives. A pre-reunion reconciliation confirms totals per project.

How can I tag my payment to a specific project?

Mention the project name/code in your payment reference/notes and select the project in the Google Form after payment.

Does any form need to be filled out?

Yes. Complete the RECAL Google Form after payment. It captures donor details, project tagging, and enables receipts/80G certificates.

What is the donation process and communication flow?

1. Identify the cause: Choose a project discussed with RECAL and DEAN.
2. Make the donation:
  a) Indian account for domestic donors (80G eligible)
  b) Foreign route via FCRA account (No tax benefits)
  c) U.S. route via NIT Trichy USA Alumni Chapter
3. Keep a screenshot/proof.
4. Fill the Google Form: Submit your details and select the project to tag your donation.
5. Update your batch Geo SPOC:
  • Brinjit/Gopal (India A/c transfers)
  • Deb/Anusha (US A/c transfers)
  • Sankar (Non-US overseas transfers)
6. Weekly updates: RECAL shares batch/project updates with batch reps.
7. Reconciliation: At least 1 week before the reunion, RECAL reconciles total funds per project.
8. Post-reunion acknowledgment: Within 2 weeks, RECAL issues tax certificates/receipts to donors.
